An adaptive learning management system (ALMS) is a type of learning management system (LMS) that uses data and analytics to personalize the learning experience for each student. It is becoming increasingly popular in educational institutions and businesses alike.“Lumiere” is the fruit of our passion and expertise in elearning, and its approach is through reading learners’ states of minds, understanding their learning styles, how they feel and monitoring their emotions while learning, using Biosensors and cognitive science to modify the course content presentation in real time, which will pave the way to a personalized/adaptive learning environment. A team of more than 20 researchers are involved in this project and 6 journal papers have been published so far.
